  I disputed a $40 Internet transaction yesterday and was told by the 800 number representative that my Wells Fargo debit card had to be reported "stolen" in order to dispute the charge. (American Express never said that to me about a dispute!) I objected to them canceling my card, since I live outside of town and do most of my shopping online. The Well Fargo representative told me I could get a temporary card at the closest branch while I was waiting for the new card (7 to 10 business days), so I ok'd the "stolen card" nonsense. When I went to the Grass Valley branch, I was told I could not get a temporary debit card. The best they could do was a temporary ATM card with a cash withdrawal limit of $60 a day and which was not useable online. If I had known that I had to wait 7 to 10 business days for a new card, I would have said "forget it". I would rather pay a phoney debit charge than do without any way to pay for my online purchases and recurring charges. This is not necessarily a problem with the local branch, but a problem with the way Wells Fargo does business. The least they could do is over-night a replacement. Terrible customer service!

  Lines may seem long sometimes during peak hours but the tellers do a great job at moving people thru. I had trouble with an account at my previous branch but here, they cleared up the situation quickly and precisely.
